Rosa Parks was a brave activist from the city of Montgomery, Alabama.

She grew up with segregation and discrimination. After she got merried with Raymond Parks they decided to fight against differences.

In December 1955 she didn't want to give her seat to a white person, the bus driver called the police and she went to prison

She became a symbol of the civil rights movement. in 1996 President Bill Clinton awarded her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In 2005 Rosa Parks died at the age of 92.
