+ info
Read these next few slides they will help you gather information on what Genially can do.
When we are told a story, it moves us, it can even touch us, causing us to remember stories up to 20 times more than any other content we consume. Here you can include visual resources to leave your audience amazed and highlight specific data that will be deeply ingrained in their memory. Disciplines like Visual Thinking facilitate visually rich note-taking through the use of images, graphics, infographics, and simple drawings. Give it your all! Bring life to the elements of your creation with animation. It's impossible not to pay attention to moving content!
Keep in mind that this is an introduction. So take the opportunity to provide context for the topic you're going to discuss, briefly explain what you will be talking about and highlight the most relevant points to your audience. If your goal is to grab your audience's attention, make a 'match' with your audience, and leave everyone speechless, this Genially template is for you. Use visuals in your presentation. Interactive visual communication enhances communication outcomes on any topic and in any context you can imagine. Turn numbers into stories.
Multimedia content is essential to achieve a WOW effect in your creations. Including background music, audio, or sound effects here... It always adds up!

GENERAL
With Genially templates, you can include visual resources to leave your audience speechless. In this space, it is also recommended to establish the importance of the topic, discuss previous and current research in the field, and identify what the problem is. We also recommend that interactivity and animation be present in all your creations, regardless of their type.
Generate experiences with your content.
Measure results and experiment.
Has a WOW effect. Very WOW.
Activate and amazeyour audience.
Make your audience remember the message.
It is neat, hierarchical and structured.
Animate your content and take it to the next level
'Your content is liked, but it's much more engaging if it's interactive'
Genially
To create a good introduction, in addition to providing context for what will be discussed, it is essential to explain why this work is necessary, use a formal and impersonal tone, and organize the information. In this space, it is also recommended to establish the importance of the topic, discuss previous and current research in the field, and identify what the problem is. Our brain is wired to consume visual content. Some data: 90% of the information we process comes through our sight, and we process visual content up to 60,000 times faster than text. That's why visual communication is more effective.
We also recommend that interactivity and animation be present in all your creations, no matter their type. These two pillars of communication can make the most boring content fun and memorable Need more reasons to create dynamic content to tell stories? Our brain is biologically prepared to process visual content. Almost 50% of our brain is involved in processing visual stimuli.
objectives
specific
If your thing is to capture the attention of your audience, match with your target and leave everyone speechless, this Genially template is for you. It is clear and structured to convey information in an organized and hierarchical way, and to achieve delivering content that excites the brain. Animation and interactivity are two fundamental pillars for this. Tags, windows, links, audios... With Genially, you can include any type of interactivity to add additional content and give it an animation to capture the attention of your audience. Did you know that Genially allows you to share your creation directly, without the need for downloads?
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's a space where you can talk about the mission and vision of your project.
Interactivity and animation can be your best allies in making content fun.
That's why, at Genially, we use AI (Awesome Interactivity) in our designs, so you can level up with interactivity and turn your content into something that adds value and engages.
Need more reasons to create dynamic content to tell stories?
90% of the information we assimilate comes through our sight, and we retain 42% more when the content moves.

Therefore, animations are perhaps the most effective resource to capture the attention of your audience and make a 'match' with the public.

a great title
You can include an image of yourself, a speaker, or the topic you are going to discuss... Whatever you need. But illustrate it to break the monotony of the text and add dynamism to all your creations. Don't forget! What you're reading: interactivity and animation can make even the most boring content fun. At Genially, we use AI (Awesome Interactivity) in all our designs, so you can level up with interactivity and turn your content into something that adds value and engages. If you want to provide additional information or expand on the content in more detail, you can do so through your oral presentation. We recommend that you practice your voice and rehearse: the best improvisation is always the most prepared one!

THIS WORK NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED BY NEXT WEEK and saved in your UNIT 12 document you should have set up.
First set of questions to be answered on your own and must be compared to Genially about your 3 rival platforms.
- What is different?
- How is it the same?
- How easy it it to use?
- How many people have subscribed to use the platform?
- Go around college and find out how many people have heard of the platform.
- Go around college and ask how many people have used the platform.
- What do they like about it?
- What do they dislike about it?
Company name: Padlet - click on the image to go to padlet to sign up and have a go.
You have read a bit about what genially can do, now find 3 of its rival platforms - Ensure that you answer the first set of questions for each platform yourself and then you will need to gather information from others around the college for the second set of questions. You must gather at least 25 responses . I have added one platform that you could explore. You can work in pairs for this work and ensure that you add who is your partner in your work.

Session 2
Types of market research
Research and Innovation Project
How easy was this research to do?
Starter task: You have 6 minutes to create a poll on a product you love, on your chosen social media page. You must evidence this in your UNIT 12 document. So save a link or screen shot this to your work. At the end of the session we will be reviewing the poll for your responses. In addition you will need to find some information about the same product online and present in your work. Example: What is your preference of colour for your new Iphone? then state colours they can select as part of the poll. You would then look up some information that connects to the colours of the new Iphone. You may find statistics of how many blue ones have sold over the pink ones.
Do you think this image represents primary or secondary research? Place your answer on a Post it note. Explain. Now pass to your neighbour and discuss do you agree or disagree. Do you know the difference between the two?
Market research is a crucial component of business strategy and involves gathering, analysing, and interpreting information about a market, its consumers, and its competitors. There are several types of market research methods, each serving different purposes and providing unique insights. Here are some common types of market research: Primary Research: This involves collecting data directly from the source. It can be further categorised into: Quantitative Research: Involves gathering numerical data that can be analysed statistically, such as surveys, questionnaires, online polls, and experiments. Qualitative Research: Focuses on understanding attitudes, behaviors, and motivations through techniques such as interviews, focus groups, observation, and ethnography. Secondary Research: This involves using existing data that has already been collected by other sources. It includes: Market Reports: Reports published by research firms, industry associations, government agencies, and academic institutions. Publicly Available Data: Data from government publications, company websites, industry publications, and news articles.

On this slide in your genially there is a button that shows info. Click on this and read through the information on this page. On your unit 12 document you will need to extract information from this page (the weblink is attached on the info button) and write in your own words answers for the below criteria, make sure this is clearly shown in your document. Do not copy and paste, I will know from the information in the link provided.
Lets look at the work you should have completed from last week.
REcap
Thank you for completing the Menti reflection. :)

Look at the criteria for this unit, what have you also covered for the work completed so far. Try and see if you can now label your work according to the criteria discussed at the beginning of this unit intro. Reflect on how you are doing so far. Click on the menti link below.
Make sure you log all the work from today, including your poll responses in your document for UNIT 12. Keep your work nice and ordered and connected to the criteria it matches with.
Share your poll responses.
4.1 interpret your findings from the research you have gathered in your first task presenting them in an appropriate format. Have this ready to present to the group after the work experience week. Remember you should be starting to think about your product for your dragons den task, we are only in the ideas phase and remember you will have UNIT 9 tasks to complete that connect with this. We will start connecting this after the work experience week. Just make sure you keep a log of the ideas, any changes to ideas and your reasonings behind this.

Session 3
Research and Innovation Project
Fastest to get 3 facts, wins.
You will need to write down 3 fun facts. The first two will be timed and from memory - no tech. The last one will be phone/text a friend/family member. Who can you rely on. They all must be different. - 1 from your own memory
- 1 from a peer in your class
- 1 from a family/friend
Starter Task: Fun facts
What were you asked to do at the end of your last session?
Lets watch your presentations.
Make sure you have started to get your ideas down on paper.
How are your ideas coming along? for the dragons den task.
REMINDER: Make sure you have a UNIT 12 document set up and a UNIT 9 document set up, this will help you keep your work ordered.
Lets look at how UNIT 9 connects to our dragons den task.
Now you have done your market research on different platforms to use to present information on. Which one will you use to present your dragons den product to the panel?
Now lets discuss what is expected of you for this unit.
Session 4 - Assignment Brief
You will need to have your dragons den product presentation, ready by the 21st April 24 Panel will happen on Wednesday 24th April & 1st May Please ensure that your presentations are no longer than 10 minutes each, this includes questioning from the Dragons. REMEMBER: This is not just all about the product you design, its about the research methods you use and the research you gather. You must all play your part and it must be shown clearly in your work who has done what/why. Example: if you choose to make your product red, why is this the best colour to choose? and what research did you do to justify this decision.
Pose a dramatic question; it is the essential ingredient to maintain the audience's attention. It is usually posed subliminally at the beginning of the story to intrigue the audience and is resolved at the end. Visual content is a universal language, like music. We are able to understand images from millions of years ago, even from other cultures. We capture visual content better. Visual content is associated with cognitive and psychological mechanisms. Things enter through the eyes, the first image is the one that matters. We associate visual content with emotions.
With the Genially templates, you'll be able to include visual resources to leave your audience speechless. You can also highlight a specific phrase or data that will be etched in your audience's memory, and even embed external content that surprises: videos, photos, audios... Whatever you want! What you're reading: interactivity and animation can turn the most boring content into something fun. At Genially, we use AI (Awesome Interactivity) in all our designs, so you can level up with interactivity and turn your content into something that adds value and hooks. Need more reasons to create dynamic content?
Good: 90% of the information we assimilate comes through our eyes, and we retain 42% more information when the content is moving. When giving a presentation, we must pursue two objectives: transmitting information and avoiding yawns. To achieve this, it can be good practice to create an outline and use words that are etched into your audience's brains.
