Students move through skills once mastered as soon as they master them. The learning is at their own pace. They can test out of topics if mastery is shown. (What is Competency Based Learning, 2016)

In classrooms today, there are many different experiences that the students bring into the school. There are various systems that districts can use to help all students achieve. Each system gives educators a chance to reach these students.

QUESTIONS

How can Personalized learning be balanced with the use of technology?What topics of mindfulness would be suited for early childhood?For Standards based grading, how can this be assessed for a summative grade?With a problem based project, how can it be differentiated for gifted as well as below level students?

Learning how to manage stressHelps to regulate and calm the body and mind (Gerszberg, 2016)

Practice of being aware of thoughts and feelings in a positive manner. Decreases chances of anxiety, depression, and negative coping skills. (CDC, 2019).

Practice breathing techniques, meditations, positive affirmations. Doesn't need to take long and can be incorporated in the classroom.

Students can learn at their own pace and with what interests them. They use technology for most of the learning on the subjects. This is a controversial system due to the fact that students are on the computer for 89% of the time and that students work about 77 % time alone (Harold, 2019).
