1. Welcome to New York
New York is the cultural capitol of the USA, full of theaters that crowd along the famous Broadway and museums that are among the richest and most well-kept in the world.New York is the most populous city in the USA. When the sun goes down this beautiful city becomes even more wonderful, almost magical, thanks to the numerous lights that illuminate it with a thousand colours.New Tork is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world, it has always inspired writers, directors and musicians. It is also an important center of international business.
WELCOME TO NEW YORK
It houses works, paintings and sculptures by almost all the greatest European masters, as well as a vast collection of American and modern art. The museum also houses collections of musical instruments, period clothing and accessories, including ancient weapons and armor from all over the world.
It is one of the most majestic and impressive museums in New York City. It covers an area of approximately 190 m^2. The museum is divided into four floors, plus a fifth floor where you will find the panoramic terrace.
MUSEUM OF ART
FLATIRON BUILDING
The distinctive triangular shape of the Flatiron Building, New York's strangest skyscraper, was designed and built in 1902. The skyscraper features a traditional limestone and terracotta facede, apparently takes its famous name from its resemblance to flat iron.
It is the largest urban park in New York and one of the most important in the world. It is more than 4 Kilometres long and 800 meters wide. Inside the park you will find gardens, artificial lakes, waterfalls and areas similar to those of a forest. Furthermore, there is a real zoo. This park is one of New Yorkers' favorite places to walk, sunbathe and play sports. Various events are often celebrated in the park. I recommend that if you want to visit the park for the entire route, you rent a bike. Furthemore, I can tell you that visiting Central Park will take you several hours, for this reason if you want to stroll peacefully and discover the attractions and true beauty, the best thing is to reserve an entire morning for the visit.
CENTRAL PARK
The statue of Liberty is a symbolic monument of New York and the entire USA, one of the most important and well known monuments in the world. It was designed by the French Bartholdi; it represents a woman wearing a long toga and proudly holding a torch in her right hand, while in the other hand she holds a book bearing the date of American Independence Day (July 4, 1776); at its feet there are broken chains, symbol of the power of the despotic ruler and on the head there is a crown, whose seven poits represent the seven seas or the seven continents.
STATUE OF LIBERTY
BROOKLYN BRIDGE
The Brooklyn Bridge was built between 1869 and 1883 and opened in May 1883. It was the first bridge in the world to be suspended by steel. For a while it was the only connection between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Walking on the bridge and going from one part of the city to another, you will be able to enjoy a beautiful panorama. The Brooklyn Bridge has transformed over the years into a great symbol of New York, becoming one of the greatest attractions. The best way to see the bridge is on foot from Brooklyn, so you can admire the entire New York skyline. It takes about 45 minutes but I suggest you consider many more, adding the time needed to take photos.
