Pita kebab
My favourite Dish
Pita kebab is my favorite dish. It originated in Turkey, but is also eaten in many Middle Eastern and European countries.
Origin/nationality of the dish
- large lettuce
- tomatoes
- Onion to taste
- Tzatziki sauce or yogurt sauce to taste
- pita breads
- beef or chicken

Dissolve the sugar in the warm water and mix with the saffron. Then add the rest of the ingredients and set aside. Take the piece of meat and cut it into the thinnest possible slivers, all the same size, and place them in the marinade. Cover the meat with cling film, refrigerate and leave to marinate for 24 hours.
