Section I

Wildlife refers to undomesticated animal species, but has come to include all organisms that grow or live wild in an area without being introduced by humans. Wildlife can be found in all ecosystems. Deserts, plains, grasslands, woodlands, forests, and other areas, including the most developed urban areas, all have distinct forms of wildlife. The names of some well known wild animals are Bear, cheetah, Crocodile, Fox, Lion, Shark, Snake, Tiger, monkey, leopard.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is an international conservation organization that has been working for over 60 years to help people and nature thrive. WWF works in nearly 100 countries to protect and restore the natural resources that people depend on, transform markets and policies toward sustainability, and safeguard threatened wildlife and wild places to sustain life on earth.

Hairy frog

Also known as the horror frog for its ability to pierce through its own skin by intentionally breaking the bones of the toe to get its claws out.

Climate: Create a climate-resilient and zero-carbon world, powered by renewable energy. Food: Double net food availability; freeze its footprint. Forests: Conserve the world’s most important forests. Freshwater: Secure water for people and nature. Oceans: Safeguard healthy oceans and marine livelihoods. Wildlife: conserve threatened wildlife and wild places to sustain life on earth.

Electric eels

Transmit a shock between 600 and 800 Volts which has enough electricity to kill a horse.

what are endangered species?

An endangered species is a type of organism that is threatened by extinction. Species become endangered for these main reasons: loss of habitat, climate change and loss of genetic variation.

Self-Immunizing Opossum

This animals most well-known common trait is its overwhelming instinct to simply fake death when confronted with danger and also neutralizes any snakes, bees and scorpions venom.

What is the work of Wildlife rescue and care centers? They look after injured or very young animals and then hopefully get them well enough so they can go back into the wild. It’s hard work looking after them. Most of the people who work there are volunteers. None of them are paid. They help out and provide their time for free, for the love of the animals.
