Der Barock lässt sich in drei bzw. Unterepochen unterteilen: Frühbarock, Hochbarock, Spätbarock un Rokoko. Das Rokoko ist die letzte Unterepoche

Der Barock entstand als Stilrichtung in Italien und von dort breitet er sich über ganze Europa. Rom wurde zur bedeutestend Stadt des Barocks

Der Barock ist eine der Kunstgeschichte in Europa und wird in die Zeit von circa 1600 bis 1770 eingeordnet
