Although it now seems to be a widely shared reality, the dual-career couple is a recent social mutation to which the world of work has not yet really adapted. It is in fact a blind spot in equality policies. Several change are needed in society and in the world of work to make it easier for couples to work : it is a prerequisite for making real progress towards greater equality. But couples also have their share of responsibility : they should take the issue of professional success into their own hands, without this being to the detriment of personal, family... and marital balance. This involves regular dialogue about each person's professional ambitions.
