Profile of the Audience

Ages 8 through 25 I think this is the intended age range since the text is meant for students who are participating in animal dissections, whether it's a frog dissection in fifth grade, or something more important in college.

The intended audience are most likely liberals. This text is from PETA, an organization that works towards bettering the treatment of animals, which doesn't align with the ideas of political conservatives, who favor the use of animals in research. Liberals, on the other hand, believe in equality, whether this is humans or animals.

People who have gone through elementary and high school, and possibly are in university. People who have received this level of education have probably dissected an animal before, or will dissect an animal, and they can understand this text better.

People in middle to upper class. Usually, people who are in middle and upper class are able to participate in activities such as dissecting animals.
