Quem foi Joseph Bleck?

Joseph William Henry Bleck nasceu em Malta in 1854. Em 1878 recebe autorização para construir a linha férrea de Lagos até Vila Real de Santo António, no Algarve. Contudo, este projeto nunca se vem a concretizar. Em 1910, passa a desempenhar o cargo de representante da companhia petrolífera Shell em Portugal. Mais tarde participa na Indústria Fosforeira Portuguesa. Foi presidente da Câmara de Comércio Britânica em Lisboa e Cônsul Geral da Grécia em Portugal. Morre em1918 na sua casa do Dafundo.
