The future with will

This is about how to use the word "will" to talk about things that are going to happen in the future.

When you want to say something will happen, you just use "will" plus a simple action word. Here's how to make it easy to understand:

If you think something is definitely going to happen, like you're sure there will be more teachers one day, you just say "will" and then the action. For example, "There will be more teaching jobs."

Sometimes you want to say "I will" or "He will" in a shorter way, especially when speaking. You can squish them together. So, "I will" becomes "I’ll," and "He will" becomes "He’ll."

You can use contractions!

But if you want to say something is not going to happen, you put "not" after "will." Like if you think a desk job isn't good for someone, you say, "A desk job will not work for you."

And just like with "I will," you can make "will not" shorter, too! "Will not" becomes "won’t."

And here's a cool tip: you can put words like "always," "never," "probably" in between "will" and the action to show how sure you are. Like, "Some jobs will probably grow."

You can use contractions!

Lastly, when you want to talk about something that exists in the future, like a job fair that's going to be held next week, you say: "There will be a job fair next week."

So, remember, when you're talking about what's going to happen, "will" is your friend! Just put it before the action or squish it together with "I," "he," or "not," and you're good to go.
