Why is the water boiling?
Scientism, briefly:
Start
We can answer this by saying when you apply heat to a container holding water, the heat from the fire causes the molecules in the water to move faster and faster. As they move more and more rapidly, they bump into each other with more force and frequency until the water begins bubbling and boiling. Is that the ONLY answer to the question?
The visual accompaniment...
maybe not
Summary
Scientism says that the only way to seek truth is through scientifically "provable" questions.Philosophy and religion say that people can arrive at truth by asking moral and ethical questions. Morals and ethics cannot be "proven" by science, but are just as real as a cup of tea.
Another answer:
The water is on the stove boiling because someone wanted a cup of tea.
