Bullfighting is the discipline that consists of having a kind of combat with a bull. A man, on foot or on horseback, annoys the animal to enrage it and then demonstrates his prowess by dodging its onslaughts.Usually, the practice finish with the killing of the bull.

WHAT IS IT?

The history of bullfighting began in the Middle Ages, when Spanish knights held tournaments in which they faced fighting bulls.Over time, these spectacles evolved into the bullfight on foot, in which bullfighters face the bull without the protection of a horse.

HISTORY

Proponents of bullfighting claim that the treatment of the bull is not so cruel and argue that the practice allows the subsistence of the breed known as bullfighting.However, there are many people and groups who are against bullfighting because they consider it's a cruel animal murder. This explains why in recent years there has been an increase in the number of Spanish citizens who support the PACMA Party, the Animalist Party, which defines itself as "a defender of animal rights, the defense of the environment and social justice".

CRITICISM

The fact that bullfighting is a tradition is not enough of an argument to continue doing it. The suffering of the bulls and horses ridden by the picadors. Just because fighting bulls were bred to die in the bullring doesn't mean they were born for it.

ARGUMENTS AGAINST

-Because it is a form of animal abuse. -It is cruel to raise animals for the purpose of torturing and killing them. -Currently, it is completely immoral for public money to go to shows of this kind. -Before going out to the bullring, the bulls are drugged and tortured.
