DELIVER THE ROLL CARTS

Instructions

How are they being delivered?

Once Monday customer routes have been completed, crews will then deliver carts to customers whose garbage is collected on Tuesdays, and so forth.

What City of Columbia Utilities has to say about the new roll carts...

"We have been looking forward to this for a long time," said Matt Nestor, spokesperson for the City of Columbia Utilities. "It's been a year in the making."

Did you know?

KOMU 8 spoke with more than 30 residents across Columbia Monday, most of whom approved of the roll carts.

What do the residents have to say?

Columbia resident Felix Adah said he is in favor of the roll carts for several reasons. "There was a time when I left my trash bags outside and someone's dog got into it," Adah said. "I've also had animals like cats and rabbits get into my bags overnight, but I think now with (roll carts), that's not going to happen anymore."

When will roll carts be collected regularly by trash pickup?

Matt Nestor, spokesperson for the City of Columbia Utilities, said the city will not begin collecting roll carts until March 4, and residents must continue placing trash bags by the curb until that date.

Who delivered the carts?

Rehrig Pacific Company, a vendor for the city's Solid Waste Utility!

Congratulations!!!

You won!

How long until all of the roll carts have been distributed?

Matt Nestor, spokesperson for the City of Columbia Utilities, said it will take approximately four weeks for all customers citywide to receive their carts.

BROKEN ROAD

If the player lands on a square where the broken road starts, they go down to a lower square where the circle of trashis located.

If the player falls on the bottom of a ladder, they move up to the top square where the ladder ends.

INSTRUCTIONS

Columbia needs help! It needs you to deliver the roll carts to its residents as fast as you can. Players start with a token - which represents each of them - in the initial square and take turns rolling the die. The tokens move according to the numbering on the board, in ascending order. If, at the end of a move, a player lands on a square where a road begins, they move up it to the square where it ends. If, on the other hand, they land on a square where a broken road begins, they move down it to the square where its head ends. If a player rolls a 6, they can move twice in a single turn. If a player rolls three consecutive 6's, they must return to the initial square and cannot move their token until they roll a 6 again. The player who reaches the final square is the winner and has successfully delivered the roll carts. There is a variation where, if a player is six or fewer squares away from the end, they must roll precisely the number needed to reach it. If the number rolled exceeds the number of remaining squares, the player cannot move.
