3 PARTS of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Self-awareness is understanding how the external world influences your internal reality. It revolves around recognizing your emotions and their effects.
Self-regulation—also known as self-management or self-discipline—is the ability to control your emotions and behavior.
1. Self-control is how well you manage disruptive emptions and control your behavior.2. Conscientiousness is how disciplined and responsible you are.3. Adaptability is how well you handle rapid changes and enexpected stress.
1. Understand your whys. If you can't remember why you are making sacrifices, then it can be hard to keep pushing forward.2. Use SMART goals. Make sure your goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound.3. Avoid comparisons. Comparisons lead to feelings of defeat and paint unrealistic pictures of reality.
1. You recognize and label your feelings - even when emotions are running high.2. You understand why you're experiencing an emotion.3. You spot how you emotions influence your behavior and that of others.
