Deliver safe, secure, sustainable and publicly accpetable solutions to nuclear clean-up and waste management

The Nuclear decomissioning authority group

12 month placemenet with the NRS

Responsibilities involved:Site assessment and preparation Planning and design Managing conventinal and radiolgical risks Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Stakeholder engagement

Year One with the NDA

Proffesional Development

Setting personal development goals. Networking within the nuclear sector. Preparation for more complex responsibilites.

Entry Level Projects

Participate in entry-level projects to gain practical experience.

Foundational Training

Training modules in civil engineering and design,nuclear decommissioning, nuclear safety and project management.

6 month placements at Sellafield & NWS

Responsibilities involved:Designing infrastructure for waste projects. Assisting in decommisioning 2 nuclear sites Maintaining active nuclear sites Assisting evelopment of new nuclear projects Stakeholder engagement

Year two with the NDA

Preparation for Post-Programme

Secured position within NDA group. Working towards IEng Civil Engineering.

Continued development

Progress updates with mentor. Chose discipline to specialise in. Learnt about project and financial management.
