Let’s take a look at some emotional intelligence skills...
05
Perceptiveness
One of the most vital traits of emotionally intelligent people is the ability to connect with others on a deeper level. Emotionally sensitive people respond with empathy by putting themselves in others' shoes. They try to understand the world from the other person's perspective, considering their feelings, experiences, and needs.
Emotionally intelligent people are usually fantastic listeners. They can observe and identify emotions when communicating with others, ask clarifying questions, and show that they genuinely care about the speaker's thoughts and feelings.
Emotionally intelligent individuals engage in regular self-reflection. They learn from their emotional experiences and use them as opportunities for personal growth
Emotionally intelligent people are like detectives; they use clues to uncover the bigger picture of a person's feelings. For example, a friend might communicate that they’re happy but display anxious gestures, or there might be a change in their usual smile. Emotionally intelligent people are adept at picking up on these non-verbal cues and can use them to figure out what’s really going on with the people around them.
Emotionally intelligent people are aware of their own emotions and understand themselves better than anyone else. They can accurately identify and label their feelings at a given moment and regulate their emotions.
