When students really get the chance to rest over break, they will come back stronger when school resumes.

Students who are ahead of their class and do feel like completing school-related work over the break can do so to accelerate their learning. If homework over the break isn't eliminated, these students won't be able to take their learning a step further.

Homework has been a huge stress factor among many teens lately. Eliminating any homework from breaks allows students to fully disconnect from regular responsibilities and de-stress.

Breaks can be used for many academic-centred activities that are outside of school. This includes spending more time on your regular extracurricular activities, trying new activities, taking part in programs or courses, and more.
