It safe because students only move around the area when we go in and out of school. We can easily prepare the patches of grass and the tree stumps to sow flowers that will attract pollinators by placing a fence around them and establishing a periodical turn of watering when spring comes and it doesn't rain for a number of days and notices about our action.

In this part we can see a humid landscape as it faces north and has a lot of shade. In some parts of it there aren't a lot of plants, so maybe we can plant more trees and plants or even flowers that require little light. We can also install a system where we are going to sow flowers and plants to water them.

Cereal that is planted in our kitchen garden (rye this autumn as its roots deeply penetrate the ground) must be kept covered in a fresh and dry place once it is cut and before it can be added to the pile of compost typically formed in the springtime. There is space available for the purpose under those seats if, with adult assistance, we manage to open doors that can be locked in them.

We could promote biodiversity here by planting different trees. For example: apple, plum, cherry and pear trees. We could also promote it by planting other smaller species like gliricidia, verbascum, alfafa and veza. We can also put more insect hotel to further help the ecosystem and help increase the insect population.

This is a very good green space because it is very rarely used at breaktime. We can sow plants and raise insects that, in turn, can attract insectivorous birds that can keep the kitchen garden safe from pests.

We need to provide them with greenery in all shapes and sizes (perennial, annuals, or both, trees, shrubs, conifers, shrubs, or dense hedges). These produce seeds that will delight their visitors and attract insects too. Extra clay can be moved to other areas. Making houses with wood, twits and recycled materials can also attract pollinator insects and birds to enrich the biodiversity of our green space.

We can look into which of them can adapt better to the quality of the ground, the little sunlight and natural humidity of our area. We could find out where we can get seeds of them and grow them. It could be a long-term project in which to involve students from following years. Cardoons are another ground of investigation as we know they attract some birds that are especially good at singing.

Observing how they grow, transform and live can be very interesting and we can report about it to the rest of the class and next year 1st of ESO students. We could celebrate a ladybird freedom day in spring.

We could just fill in 5-liter water jugs and empty them where we have planted the flower seeds

We could get another two friends from another class involved and ask the chief of studies or headmistress for permission to go out by turns during breaktime on Fridays. We could have that calendar on the class notice board so that we can tick who has carried out the task and on what day.

Recycling a few plastic bottles, some material and aluminium foil we can create a few fountains to keep the areas green from spring and along the summer. We will only need to fill in the bottles every week.

Our teacher knows someone who works there so we may ask an expert to come and visit us, after we have carried out some observation of our own. That person could help us be more efficient once we have invested:

We will paste an element to allow us know where the first nest is. We will add additional ones to mark the placements of the new nests we can make up ourselves with recycled mateial immitating the features of the one bought.

Adaptation of already existing facilities

People of that organization have already collaborated with our school in adapting outdoor areas to be used for different purposes. We could pass on to them the new targets we have thought of aiming at.

Spots for placing bins, planting bushes and collecting clay

Our goals are to prevent the throwing of litter, grow plants & set refuges that attract insectivorous birds and move the clay that is dragged by excessive rain to other places of our green space where they can be useful. This involves tasks like:
