Brightspace Foundations
A bespoke video guidance series designed to enhance the proficiency of newly hired teaching staff at Bournemouth University (BU) in utilising the virtual learning environment (VLE) - Brightspace.

Our target audience for this project was the newly hired teaching staff at BU.
The designed performance result was clear: we wanted to empower them to navigate and utilise Brightspace VLE, effectively, ultimately helping them perform their teaching roles with confidence and proficiency.

Conclusion
"Brightspace Foundations" was a journey of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. It not only achieved its objectives but also paved the way for ongoing advancements in supporting teaching staff at BU.

As part of FLIE's book project: Teaching and Learning with Innovative Technologies in Higher Education: Real-World Case Studies.

- A substantial 66% of respondents were in strong agreement about the value of Brightspace Foundations, while 34% still acknowledged its usefulness.
- 90% of respondents said that the video durations were suitable.
- 100% of respondents considered the short quizzes helpful.
