Our Rights!

Every individual should have the right to seek care regardless of their background or circumstance

Autonomy

Although physicians/healthcare providers are able to assist in the decision making, it is the patient's right to make the final decision towards their care. Respecting autonomy recognizes individuals' right to healthcare decisions

Patient Privacy

HIPPA protects the privacy of individuals and their health information. Disclosing this information to LEOs could compromise this privacy

Restraints

Nurses should approach their work with a patient-centered and holistic mindset. While physical restraints might be necessary in certain situations they should never replace a thorough nursing assessment
