Write about a positive experience in your life that shaped you and allowed you to become self-reliant or a non-conformistWrite about some of your character qualities that make you an individual or non-conformistUse "I" throughout your writing - this is about you and your perspective

This project challenges you to take inspiration from the writers we've been studying this unit - who were individuals & non-conformists in their society. They did things their own way.

Today we will do some brainstorming/free write activities to help us think about what we may want to write about.You will submit a rough draft or outline this week, before writing the final version.

Task: Write a Personal Narrative Essay

  1. Prompt: Write about a time you learned an important life lesson and how that impacted you.
  2. You need an Introduction paragraph, body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph.
  3. Written in a word document, double-spaced, 12pt, Times New Roman font
