purpose

The purpose and intended outcomes for this session is to get and maintain a more engaging classroom for the students and their parents. *75% of parental involvement *95% of student involvement *move students to close the learning gap. Students are not reaching mastery level in prior years, so we have to work extra hard to get the students caught up to grade level. This cannot be done without the parents helping as well.

Strategy

ClassTag Edulastic Nearpod The goal is to first get the parents engaged in the classroom and hyped up so the students stay focused and motivated. When the parents show their apathy towards learning their child/children pick it up as well. This is a cycle that needs to be broken. ClassTag allows for everything to happen in one spot instead of many. This also allows for people who do not want to download another app.

No excuses - Every family reached Parents don’t have to download an app to join the party. ClassTag’s smart messages reach all parents based on their preferred channel (SMS, email, app, web or paper).

DIGITAL OUTREACH IS BACKED BY RESEARCH This growing reliance on tech-based communication is informed by research that shows digital outreach can help parents stay informed, become more involved, and be better positioned to help with kids’ schoolwork—all factors driving better student engagement and performance.

One of the upsides of the country’s forced march into virtual learning was the increased level of parent engagement in their children’s education, much of it out of necessity.
