• Canada is also experiencing wildfires just like California.
• It is experiencing a similar climate to California which is very dry and can promote wildfire activity.

• The governor in California just signed legislation to accelerate to fully clean energy transmission by 2023
• They also use offshore wind for power

Globally:

• Globally the wildfires have caused significant changes to the global climate.
• This has happened because the fires emit carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere.

• The region around the wildfire gets killed off.
• animals lose their habitat, plants burn, trees burn, and humans are forced to relocate
