The success of project implementation or change management depends on people – people who lead the organization, who sponsor a project, who test and work on new applications, the ultimate end users, external vendors, suppliers, and govt. bodies. Not everyone will support change – there will be disruptors too, and you will have to manage them as well. Move to the next page to learn more.

2. Stakeholder assessment and engagement

+ info

1. Identify stakeholders & assess alignment

2. Strategize & plan stakeholder engagement

You will have to plan to create awareness of the project and why it matters for the different set of stakeholders. If needed, reach out to people and talk about the change, and its benefits, maybe organize small workshops or sessions for skills training. Stakeholder engagement will come at every phase of project management since you will be constantly dealing with people.

Exit the full screen mode and select the "Next Activity" button to continue.

3. Engage stakeholder

2. Stakeholder assessment & engagement (contd.)

In this activity, you'll identify key stakeholders and engage them. Things to do here are: 1. Make a list of potential stakeholders, and categorize them as internal and external. 2. Categorize further based on their level of interest, impact, involvement, and influence on the project. You can also identify if they are pro-project or not. 3. Identify potential conflict points amongst stakeholders.

1. Communicate to stakeholders regarding the project and related changes. 2. Change champions to rally about the change through employee engagement activities. 3. Conduct small workshops to address questions, grievances, etc. and collect feedback. 4. Assess change readiness and report stakeholder alignment.

Next, you will: 1. Create awareness about the project and it's benefits to stakeholder groups. 2. Assess communication and skills training for stakeholders for project implementation. 3. Strategize stakeholder engagement plans for high-influence, neutral, and lower-resistance stakeholders.
