Life expectancy is the method we use to measure the estimated span of the life of a human being from birth to death.

-The current life expectancy for the U.S. in 2023 is 79.11 years a 0.08% increase from 2022.- The life expectancy in the U.S in 2022 was 79.05 years
-water: water improves your brain function and mood. it also helps flush out toxins, carry nutrients to cells, hydrate your body, and prevent constipation.
-Vitamins: Metabolic Function
- Proteins: Provides the building blocks of the body and not just for muscle. Every cell from bone to skin to hair contains protein
- Minerals: Bones, teeth, regulating your metabolism and staying properly hydrated.
- Fats: Support many of your body's functions such as vitamin and mineral absorption, building cells, and muscle movement.

Sleep is an essential biological process that is crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being. it is a time when the body rest, repair and rejuvenate, allowing various physiological systems to function properly.
Sleeping less than eight hours can increase your mortality rate, lead to health conditions, make you age faster, and suffer from stress and anxiety.

A study conducted by Penn State College of Medicine found that people with high blood pressure or diabetes who sleep less than six hours had an 83% greater risk of heart-related death than those who sleep six or more hours a night. Also, short sleep duration triples the risk of death from cancer in people with a history of heart disease or stroke.
-Between ages 15 and 64, drug use cost more than 140,000 American lives in 2016 (96,508 men and 43,187 women.) The percentage of all-cause deaths at ages 15-64 in 2016 that are estimated to be drug-associated is 22% for men and 16% for women.

According to the National Institute of Health, in 2016 almost 12 million people ages 16 or older reported driving under the influence of illicit drugs, including marihuana. Studies have also shown the negative effects of marihuana on drivers, including an increase in lane weaving, poor reaction time, and altered attention to the road

According to the CDC, suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. The number of deaths by suicide increased by 2.6% from 2021 to 2022.
Doing yearly checkups helps increase our life expectancy. There are many things that can be happening to our health that we might not be aware of and might need professional help in order to detect them. Prevention is often called the best medicine.
