Mozilla Firefox is like any other browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer). With Mozilla Firefox you can browse the internet and get to your favorite webpages.

Zoom

Zoom is a Video Conferencing program.

Zoom is an alternative for Teams is widely used to have remote video conferencing. You may setup your own Zoom meetings in this application and invite whomever you choose. To sign into Zoom with Cornell you will have to use the SSO option when signing in.

Cisco AnyConnect VPN

Here is the menus to log-in to the VPN:

The full name of this application is Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. This program will allow you to sign in with your NetID credentials and access the Cornell Staff Network. Being able to access the Cornell Staff Network from outside the office means that you can access the R: drive and resources that are shared between staff.

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration app.

Microsoft Teams can be an alternative for Zoom and video conferncing. Teams is also used for many more purposes. With Teams you can dive into insta messaging, creating Team's channels, and creating your own calendar.

Microsoft OneDrive

OneDrive is a Cloud Storage Service

OneDrive is a storage service that will automatically upload your files into your own Cloud storage, sourced by Cornell. Once you have signed in to OneDrive it will continously upload backups. You may also notice a warning message when deleting files, this is OneDrive warning you that you will be deleting the version on your computer and in the Cloud.

In this screen capture OneDrive is NOT active, you can tell by the greyed out image and a line through it. Once you are successfully signed in the image will turn blue and you can click on it to tell.

You may also notice a small briefcase icon on your Microsoft Edge icon on your toolbar, this is because you are logged into a work account.

Box File Sharing

Box is a Cloud Storage Platform

At CCE we use Box to share files within our circle. Box can hold files on the web and can be shared to other employees or volunteers. Box can also be used to get paperwork to the right place such as Time Off Requests, Mileage Sheets, Etc.

You can tell if is working and signed in if the icon on your toolbar is BLUE. In this picture it is not signed in, thus leaving it a gray box.
