Shin bone

Tibia

The tibia is the main weight bearing bone of the lower leg; it is the ticker of the two lower leg bones

Fibula

The fibula is one of the 2 lower leg bones; it's thinner than the tibia and not considered a weight bearing bone although it does support the tibia and it plays an important role in ankle stability. It is the most likely of the 2 lower leg bones to break.

Knee cap

Patella

The patella is the biggest seasmoid bone in the body, which means it's imbedded into the patellar tendon itself. It assists the quadricep muscles in extending the knee by incresing the leverage they have.

Thigh Bone

Femur

This is the longest bone in the body. As it's the only bone in the upper leg, it acts as the connection between the hips and the lower leg bones.
