Informal greetings
- Good morning (Buenos días), hasta las 12 del mediodía, aproximadamente.
- Good afternoon (Buenas tardes), que se emplea más o menos hasta las 16-17 h.
- Good evening (Buenas noches), si es después de las 17-18 h.

When you meet someone?
The first time you talk to someone it is common to indicate your name. If it's an in-person meeting, you can say something like this:
