Daniel was a hard-working helper for the king of Babylon. He missed his home but prayed to God three times a day. Some jealous helpers made a rule: "You can only pray to the king!"

Daniel did not follow this new rule and prayed to God instead. The jealous men caught him and told the king. The king was sad because he liked Daniel but had to follow the law.
