Anterior Fibres

These motor fibres are responsible for carrying signals from the brain to the rest of the body. They provide function and motor control to the muscles they innervate which is what allows us to move. They are also known as efferent fibres.

Posterior Nerve Fibres

These nerve fibres carry sensory information from the recpetors back to the brain. Information such as: Temperature Proprioception Pain Touch They are also known as afferent fibres.
