Long ago, the wizard was cheerful too. He loved to entertain the village with his clever tricks. With a wave of his wand, colourful rainbows appeared. And with a sprinkle of magic, beautiful flowers bloomed everywhere.

But one evening, there was a terrible storm. A bolt of lightning zapped the wizard’s wand and it started to behave in a peculiar way.

It was broken. The wizard could no longer perform magic for the village. He became sad and grumpy. And he stayed at home.
