Critical thinking shows up in my classroom when students begin to make connections between texts, between time periods, between writing styles, between author's purposes, and between their own understand. Critical thinking is the lightbulb going on. As a result, students are more relaxed in the classroom, they are excited to come to class, and they are willing to take risks.
