Metal Band Seals are special seal designs. This unique design has been used for 5 to 10 years now. It’s mainly used in Space applications (cryogenic low friction) that require precise fricton control at small diameters and very low temperatures. It’s special design allows the metal band to handle potential shrinkage issues.
