Supervisor

They look for news footage film clips, commercials, music clips or published text that could illustrate a point or add context.

They work closely with the director / producer to select the best shots and put them in the correct order, to create a story. They work on a variety of different productions such as advertisements, music videos or feature films.

They work with an editor to create a programme from raw video materials. They would take out the best bits, putting them together onto a timeline. Cutting it down to create a episode or feature.

Skills

Information

They create all graphics in films, tv programmes and Commercials. They come up with and produce different assests such as Captions, Titles and Credits. This is to make a consistent 'look' which supports the tone of the programme, influencing the visual identity of the show.

Motion Graphic Designer

Graphics

They record additional diolougue need to complete a film. Stands for ' Additional Dialouge Replacement'. They must watch new recordings and re-record the lines, soemtimes this is done if the actress can't be heard in a scene or can't say the line in the moment.

Creates the music within the movie,, making opening music which accompany the filmed images. It helps enchance a certain mood or effect. making it feel more spectacular purely through the music.

They create the sound affects you find in most films, eg: footsteps. Some sound are recorded in location whereas other sounds may not be picked up by the microphone or need better quality to them. An example of this could be bushes rustling.
