Who can install R290 units?

Any competent renewables engineer with adequate training can install the Ecodan R290 product range. You do not have to be F-Gas qualified.

Refrigerant circuit

As the refrigerant circuit within the R290 ASHP’s is factory sealed, when installing the unit on-site, you will not need to penetrate the R290 circuit. Therefore, there is no requirement to be F-Gas qualified to simply install the ASHPs. Simply add your electrical connections and water pipes.

Can I install R290 units?

Yes. Once you have completed the Mitsubishi Electric training, you have the required knowledge to install the R290 units.
