To express vulnerability, start by recognizing and acknowledging your own emotions. Ask yourself how you genuinely feel about a situation, and be honest with yourself.
When discussing your feelings or concerns, use "I" statements to express your emotions and thoughts. For example, say, "I feel overwhelmed by work right now" instead of "You're stressing me out."
Be mindful of the setting and timing when you want to share your vulnerabilities. A private, calm environment often works best
If you're not accustomed to expressing vulnerability, begin with less sensitive topics or lighter emotions. Gradually work your way up to more profound feelings.
Vulnerability is a two-way street. Encourage open dialogue and active listening in the conversation. Show empathy and understanding when others express their vulnerabilities.
