What is Castoreum?
Castoreum is a liquid found in the castor sacs of beavers. Beavers use it to scent mark their territory. This should deter other beavers from entering their territory. It has historically been used in many products by humans.
That's right!
Beavers went extinct due to overhunting by humans not by animals!
