The students will design a map of their community including their home, school, and other landform

WHAT IS A MAP?

A map is a drawing or representation of a place and all the things that are in that area.

WHAT IS A COMMUNITY?

A community is all of the people who live in a particular area.

WHAT IS A LANDFORM?

Landforms are all of the features on Earth's surface.

WHAT IS A COMPASS?

A compass is a symbol in the bottom of a map that tells the directions.

WHAT IS A KEY?

A key is a part of a map that explains what all of the symbols mean. It can also be called a Legend.
