How to calculate atomic mass and number
Protons
- I am the postivie particel of the atom
- I also give elements their idenity
- I weigh 1 amu
- I live inside the nucleus

- I am neutral charge
- I help give the element its mass
- I have a mass of 1 amu
- I also make different types of the same element called isotopes by changing its mass
- You can calulate me by subtracting the atomic mass of the element by the number of protons!

- I give the element charge and the ability to bond
- My mass is 0 amu because my mass is so tiny
