Protons

  • I am the postivie particel of the atom
  • I also give elements their idenity
  • I weigh 1 amu
  • I live inside the nucleus

  • I am neutral charge
  • I help give the element its mass
  • I have a mass of 1 amu
  • I also make different types of the same element called isotopes by changing its mass
  • You can calulate me by subtracting the atomic mass of the element by the number of protons!
