SPICY BURGER

Successes

Our three biggest successes were... 1. Our recipe. It ended up tasting great and was budget friendly. 2. Making the burger aesthetically pleasing. We figured out a great way to stack the burger so the elements were all previewed and it went well. 3. The sauce. We decided to add mayo to our spicy ketchup last second and it tasted amazing.

Our Burger

We created our "Spicy Burger" because of our love for Tex-Mex food. We curated it through the unique and strong flavors of cayenne, onion, bacon, jalepeno, and hot sauce. All together, it's a 1/4 lb all natural beef patty stacked with lettuce, onion, jalepeno, bacon, pepper jack, and our house-made spicy mayo.

We're a Tex-Mex burger joint devoted to bringing authentic flavor you've never tasted before to you. We create unique, tasteful and creative burgers with various sauces and toppings to seperate ourselves from the rest.

Review

Review from Joseph Hennessey of Overland Park, Kansas says- "Ross and his team made an absolute masterpiece with this one. The spicy notes of this burger are fantastic and I'll definetly be eating this again, it's the perfect meal for NFL Sunday to keep me happy even when my fantasy football team is losing."

Challenges

Three challenges we faced as a team- 1. Budgeting- We were unsure of how our ingredients would fit into our budget at first, but we made some changes and created an affordable burger. 2. Teamwork- On lab day, we were slightly confused on who would do what task, but we eventually decided and it worked out well. 3. Presentation- The printer for our graphics was not working, so we instead previewed them digitally.

Our Inspiration

Our inspiration comes from the beatiful country of Mexico and the State of Texas, known for its big food and great BBQ and burgers. We combined the taste of pepper jack and jalepeno with a beef patty and traditional sauce and lettuce. It's almost like a burger enchilada.
