Every year around the fourth of July, there is a festival called Tom Sawyer Days in Hannibal, MO. It is all about celebrating one of Mark Twain's most famous characters, Tom Sawyer! There are many things to do such as the frog jumping and fence painting contest, Tom and Becky contest, a parade, mud volleyball, and fireworks.

National Tom Sawyer Days

This is Mark Twain's home in Hannibal, MO. He lived here with his family from the ages of 9 to 18. While living here he liked swimming in the Mississippi river and exploring the cave which he is now named after.

Mark Twain's Home

The home has been open since 1912 for people to visit. You can go in every room and see what it was like when Mark Twain lived there. There is also a statue of Mark Twain in every room with quotes.
