Today's Objective

Students will describe the author's purpose of using one specific form of figuritve language in the stated text of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".

Students (You Guys!) - Students will work independently to describe the purpose of the author’s use of one piece of figurative language from, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”, and answer the question, do you believe this piece of figurative language to be an essential part of the text and story as a whole? Why or why not?, as well as discuss this finding and question in their small groups, and work as a group to answer the question, which figurative tool and author’s purpose among your group members do you believe to be the most essential/important to the story or text as a whole, why or why not?, together.

How will we work today?:

Teacher/Instructor (Me!) -I will help regulate group discussions and aid in personal findings among students regarding the author’s purpose of specific usage of figurative language in, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”.
