As a graduate of the UPR, I am aware of the challenges our students face, and I am committed to crossing and exploring pedagogies that meet those challenges. My aim is to encourage and support students' experiences as spectators, readers, and scholars. My research and teaching interests include silent film, Queer and Third Cinemas, and visual culture in the Americas and Caribbean. I have also designed and taught courses in Media Studies and Transnational Studies at the State University of New York, Buffalo.
