Instructional Design Model: Backwards Design: assessments and goals will be determined first in order to align them with learning engagements. This will be a flipped classroom where students will complete module assignments and come to synchronous learning times ready to walk through examples and scenarios.

Learning Theories: Constructivism to negotiate goals with the learners. Goals for individual teachers may vary based on their student population. Also Connectivism, the creative process is necessary. It will allow teachers to work together to create solutions for their classrooms.

Learning Objectives: By the end of the Modules the Participants will be able to:

  • explain the MTSS process at the school.
  • use testing data to pre-determine groups of students who would benefit from the MTSS process.
  • Follow and work with groups of students through all three tiers of the MTSS process for 6 weeks of interventions.

Learning Goal: Participants will learn the system for MTSS strategies and implement these strategies with pre-determined groups of students.
