• New Jersey produced lots of iron and cattle. As part of the Middle "Breadbasket" Colonies, it produces lots of grains and cattle. Off the coast, they fished and produced a lot of fish to distribute. They are among the top producers of cranberries in the country. Each farm was 50 to 150 acres with a barn, house, yard, and fields.
