TThe decleration of independence was written in the summer of 1776, and it listed grievences against King Gorge III, and it also violeted colonial rights. This also caused a war to go out in december of 1776.
One important person was Abigial Adams, she advocated for womens rights and wanted equal polititcal participation. They were also apart of boycotts, daughters of liberty, and Enlightment ideas. Motherhood women were also called upon each other to teach republican values.
WIt was the 'acting of goverment" and many delagetes were afraid of seperation with england. They also asked for peace but they were ignored instead. The second Continential Congress made George Washington leader because of his expirence on the Indian War.
It took place before the declaration of Independece was made. It was also the first battle of the American revolution. Lexington- were going to arrest Samual Adams. Concord- British troops marched to Concord to destroyed their weapons.

Us was Independent. The US recieved fishing rights off Newfoundland and Nova scotia.The US boundaries extended to Mississippi River; border Canada In North and Spanish Florida in South.
Washington and Fr.Gen Jean travaed to South irginia and trapped Brit.Gen Lord Charles in the penisular town Yorktown. It also earned Americans their Independence from England.
General Washington issued them to travel to winter. All soilders suffered from food,colness, and chlothing. 1/5 of soilders ended up dying of diseases and starvation which was made because It would lead to a small army of weak people.
British planned a two prong attack on New York hoping to split both colonies apart. The Saratoga army had surrendored and their entire army was captured by American generals Horatio Gates.
