DJ was a loving father, son, family member, and friend. His humor, laughter, guidance, and friendship is truly missed. DJ had a great love for music and spent his time playing guitar, which he is now playing in heaven.

Matt was anything but ordinary choreographing his own dance of life.

Sally went through life, laughing, loving, singing, and sewing. She cared very much about people and always stepped up when needed. Even as she was fighting her own fight against cancer, she was busy making mastectomy and port pillows for other cancer patients. Her last act of love was to donate her corneas.

Sharon was a talented quilter, and shared the outputs of her love of gardening, cooking, and baking with her friends. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and always had music playing through the home. ‘Nana’ to her grandchildren, Sharon enjoyed every second she could with them; never missing an opportunity to cheer them on.

Chelsey Cheek

Chelsey was a selfless, caring, loving, and beautiful daughter. She had such a dry sense of humor as well as me. She would just make me laugh so much. She was easy-going and she is always with me. I chose to donate all of her organs so that she may live on! I love and miss my (aka) Doodle Bug so much!!!

When I got the call at 12:30am the night my dad passed away I thought I was being scammed because we donated his entire body to the U of I Deeded Body Program. He hoped that his donation would help find a cure for such an aggressive form of cancer. His request to donate his corneas resulted in 2 different people receiving a corneal transplant and restoring sight for them. I know he was smiling and at peace.

Most important to Ed, was his family and all that they did together. He so enjoyed attending his sons’ and later grandsons’ school activities, races, concerts and games. He cherished the family camping, biking and later birding trips throughout the United States and Canada. After retirement, he appreciated sharing the tennis courts with Jean and their friends.

Dan Mullin

1951 - 2022

Dan spent most of his life working at Arrowhead Hunting Club which his parents founded in 1952. He was an expert dog trainer, hunting guide and shooting coach. He enjoyed jeep rides, spending time with family and friends, fixing things, grilling steaks, shooting, mushroom hunting and many outdoor activities. He was known for storytelling, assigning nicknames and his sense of humor. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

Michael Cooper

Mike enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching sports with them. One of his favorite activities was going on road trips with the grandchildren. This could have been to go fishing, to the “Night of Fire!” drag races in Cedar Falls, or a “don’t tell mom” trip. He also enjoyed trying to teach his grandchildren about things that would “earn you points in family trivia.”

Our mother was a loving and feisty lady who was loved by many. Her spirit lives on and she will always be in our hearts.

Bill was born on February 4, 1936 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Betty Kay Lofgren on December 2, 1978. Bill worked as a Senior Operator at Monsanto, in Muscatine, Iowa, for many years. He enjoyed camping, boating, and playing pool. He also enjoyed traveling south for the winter with Betty and loved his dogs. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Betty, 10 children, 21 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jessica was 31 when she gave her gifts of life. She was a beautiful vibrant young lady who fought her battle with renal failure for 15 years. She loved her family and her fur babies with everything she had. She was so strong.

Kelly has been missed by many friends & family in the last year. He loved racing, it was his passion. He has raced competitively stockcars, sleds, go karts, and bikes. Mostly he is missed by his son & daughter (Kory & Kelsey) and his grandkids (Knoxx, Kyler, Nash & Zuzu).

For 3 years, 5 months and 9 days you gave us the gift of your unforgettable laugh, the smile that could steal hearts, how determined you were to succeed at everything you put your mind to and your devotion to the ones who loved you the most.

Roger loved International Harvester tractors and his Dodge Ram truck. He judged horse shows across the United States and in Canada and was proud to show and hold lead line for his grandchildren, Cody and Madison, at the Iowa State Fair.

Gerald Koepp

Gerald Koepp passed away June 10, 2022 at 83 years old. Born in Camanche, Iowa, he served in the US Navy from 1957-1963. He began working at UIHC Urology. He earned his O.R. tech certification and was transferred to the Urology Clinic, where he was honored for 35 years of service as an Operating Room Technician.

My husband Jeff passed away in June 2022 from a brain bleed. He loved telling stories, music of all kinds, and being with family and friends. They couldn't use his organs, but could use tissue. He would be happy that he was still able to help someone, or others. Miss & love you dear.

JoAnn O'Donnell lived her life as a "giver", therefore, her wish was, upon her passing, that her body would be donated so that her organs and tissues may be used for other individuals which would help them continue on making their lives easier and better to live.

Jim enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes, current events, politics, hamburgers, weather forecasts, road trips and exploring the road less traveled, and collecting Iowa road maps. He was an avid fan of Presidential History and Museums. Jim loved spending time with his family and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. He had a lifetime devotion to family and friends.

Ron was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to two grandchildren. He is truly missed.

Travis Neff

Travis had strong protective instincts. He started protecting me and his sister in elementary school. He was the 1st to jump in to protect anyone being bullied. This continued the rest of his life. Travis was a loving son, brother, uncle, and father.

My dad would be thrilled to know that his death directly benefitted another person through eye donation. He was a selfless man with a huge heart and we miss him every single day.

Jim was a hard-working, good man. He enjoyed working on cars from an early age, changing his first motor by himself at 13. Jim loved helping and would do anything for anybody, including caring for animals others didn’t want. Tom the cat became especially close to Jim, following him wherever he went and even trying to “help” him when he was under vehicles. There was never a dull moment with Jim and he is greatly missed.

Jacqueline led her life with unwavering love and compassion for those around her. Jacqueline loved cats, crafts, and gardening. Steady in her own sobriety, she was an integral part of her local women's AA group, where she helped others in their sober journeys. She is missed and loved by all.

Gary was a man of great faith and his love for the Lord was evident in his life. He had a huge servant's heart and loved giving himself to others and especially his family. His passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of many.

Tom was a very giving man. Being a donor was a precious gift he could give. He was very involved in Boy Scouts, Nature Center, and church. He loved working with the youth. Tom's family was very important and we all live with wonderful memories in our hearts.

Virginia was a devoted homemaker and loving wife and mother. Virginia was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Strawberry Point and the Lamont American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, sewing, shopping, reading and making candy.

A farmer, mechanic, "jack of all trades," but most of all, someone who meant the world to his family. May your jokes shake the floors of Heaven, and the fields be as fruitful as your love was on Earth for us.

Darrell Paul Eyman, Ph.D., 1937-2022, joined the University of Iowa as a Chemistry Professor in 1964. For 47 years, he taught, conducted research, published papers and books, developed patents and served as chair. Darrell was known for his charismatic personality and great love of his family, friends, colleagues, students and the UI Community.
