Lexington & Concord
First battles of the Revolution; Battle of Lexington took place first and began when British redcoats were going to arrest John Hancock and Samuel Adams. Battle of Concord began when British marched to destroy ammunition and weapons that were stored there.

Sent an offering of peace to the King but upon being ignored, George Washington was chosen as the leader of the army because of his prior war experience during the French and Indian War.
