The Freedom Riders began in may 1961. THe freedom riders wanted to see if they could sit wherever they wanted on a long distance bus trip into the south. They started ing Washington DC and where headed to new orleans. IN the carolinus they were met with violence.

The grey houlnd bus was attacked and fire bombed. A mob border the trail ways bus. So now anyone can sit any where.
They set out to see if they could sit wherever they wanted, eat in intergrated dining rooms, and use intergrated facilties like restrooms.
The Freedom Riders are a group that started in the spring of 1961. They started in Washington D.C. Their intended final destination was New Oleans, Louisianan.

Rosa Parks was best known for the Montgomery bus boycott. She is the first lady of civil rights. December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks refuses to give up her seat on the bus in Mountgomry, AL. Martin Luther King jr was a minister in mountgomry. King organized the Mountgomery bus boycott.

The boycott started the monday after Rosa Parks was arrested. The boycott lasted 382 days whitch is over a year. A boycott is where you refuse to use or bus something from a buisness of sorts.
On December 1, 1955 Rosa parks didnt give her seat up to a white man on the bus. She didn't want to give her seat up because she was tired of getting pushed around by people.

The march on washington for jobs and freedom and the i have a dream speech was on august 28 1963. The speech was delivered on the steps of the lincoln memorial. 250,000 attended this great speech.

The i have a dream speech was givan by MArtin Luther King on the steps of the lincoln memorial as part of the remarks given for March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
Martin Luther king was very dedicated to his beliefs and his ability to reach people is amazing.
At the protest every one had a signand were walking down the street. There were 250,000 people who attended this protest.
